About Ryan Fulks

I'm Ryan Fulks, co-founder and co-host of Think Bigger, an educational media channel exploring science, history, technology, psychology, and unusual questions. I'm also a video editor, motion designer, and comedian based in Austin, Texas, with eight years of experience in visual storytelling.

I've worked on branded campaigns, animated educational pieces, sports content, and much more. I bring a mix of editing, motion graphics, and visual effects to each project to help it resonate. I've worked with teams at FloSports, Big Picture Lab, and Somnio Solutions, producing content internally and for brands including HPE, IBM, Oracle, and Dell.

The part of the craft I'm best at is writing for retention. A cut only works if people stay for it, so I build videos around the hook, the pacing, and the payoff. That means reading the retention graph, finding where attention drops, and fixing the structure rather than the polish. It's how I've made content that travels: short-form that gets picked up and long-form people finish.

I co-founded Think Bigger and co-host and edit its videos, working with Vince Penman, Jennifer Rose Hale, and Danny DeLoach. Through videos on science, history, technology, psychology, and culture, our team of filmmakers, writers, and independent journalists makes complex ideas interesting, accessible, and entertaining across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

Comedy is another part of my work. I run CuddleHouseTV with my friend Trevor Scarperi, making short sketches for Instagram and TikTok. We also upload those shorts to AtLeastITried, my YouTube channel for comedy videos. CuddleHouseTV has earned millions of views. Explore my comedy work →

I also work as a Social Media Video Content Creator supporting Elastic's Social Media & Editorial team through Liaison Creative + Marketing. I turn complex technology topics into clear, engaging social video through editing, motion graphics, and interviews with subject matter experts. Previously, I served as Multimedia Production Lead at Reliant Plumbing, directing and editing digital content for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. I'm certified across the Adobe Creative Suite and work primarily in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.

Alongside the creative side, I have strong technical and IT proficiency. I set up and optimize post workflows, troubleshoot the problems that stall a project, and get media pipelines running so a team can actually move. I've led post-production end to end on a wide range of work, from editing and compositing through animation and graphic design, and I'm comfortable working solo or inside a larger team.
